Baghdasaryan: Pashinyan's plane crossed Azerbaijani airspace for the first time

The plane of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan flew over Azerbaijani territory for the first time. This was reported by the press secretary of the head of government Nazeli Baghdasaryan.

According to her, on the night of August 30-31, the government plane departed abroad through the Azerbaijani air corridor, and on the night of September 6, it returned to Yerevan along the same route.

Baghdasaryan clarified that after the peace agreements reached in Washington on August 8, Armenia sent a request for a corridor for the flight, and Baku agreed.

Yerevan emphasizes that this step is considered as an element of unblocking communications, advancing the peace process and strengthening the atmosphere of trust in the region. The prime minister's representative also recalled that Azerbaijani airliners have been using Armenia's airspace for a long time to fly between the main territory of Azerbaijan and Nakhichevan.
