The head of the Federal Penitentiary Service for Chechnya called the region a leader in prisoner recruitment for the Ministry of Defense

The head of the Federal Penitentiary Service for Chechnya, Akhmed Adayev, reported to the head of the region, Ramzan Kadyrov, on the agency's work. He reported that more than 570 prisoners in penal colonies have signed contracts with the Ministry of Defense. Adayev noted that Chechnya leads among Russian regions in this indicator.

During the meeting, Adayev also presented information on social adaptation and employment measures for 186 released prisoners. The FSIN head emphasized that Chechen prisons offer opportunities to obtain secondary vocational and higher education, as well as employment in 70 different specialties. Despite these opportunities, more than 570 prisoners chose to sign contracts with the Ministry of Defense to participate in the Russian-Ukrainian conflict. According to Kadyrov, "all those who wish to go to war do so voluntarily."
