Ahead of the parliamentary elections, a rally in support of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's Civil Contract party was held in Yerevan. The head of government called on law enforcement agencies to identify and prosecute anyone involved in falsifying the vote, referring to the main opposition groups.

He also stated that the time had come to "decapitate" the leaders of the three leading opposition forces and expressed confidence that justice would prevail in Armenia on June 7.

Parliamentary elections in Armenia are scheduled for June 7. Key opponents of the current government include pro-Russian figures: billionaire Samvel Karapetyan, a Russian citizen; former Armenian President Robert Kocharyan; and MP and prominent businessman Gagik Tsarukyan. Criminal proceedings have previously been initiated against representatives and activists of their parties, Strong Armenia and Prosperous Armenia, as well as the Armenia bloc, for alleged vote-buying.

Meanwhile, according to the publication Verstka, based on information from Russian government circles, Moscow does not expect Pashinyan to lose the upcoming elections. However, it is noted that the Russian side is seeking to weaken his party's position and create obstacles to Yerevan's current political course. According to a source close to the Russian presidential administration, the Kremlin's primary goal is not to change Armenia's leadership, but to deprive the ruling party of the opportunity to form a constitutional majority. This, in turn, will complicate the implementation of planned reforms, including those aimed at deepening Armenia's cooperation with the European Union. Another source emphasized that Moscow's primary objective is to maintain its influence in the post-Soviet space.
