A Croatian court has ordered the extradition of Russian citizen Magomed-Amin Gatagazhev, previously detained by Interpol. The 19-year-old native of Ingushetia has been held in a deportation prison in Zagreb since October of last year, according to the Memorial Human Rights Center.
In Dagestan, 44% of kindergartens are overcrowded with children. In addition, almost half of schools do not have enough teaching places. Due to the oversupply of students, less than 2% of students are provided with hot meals required by law, reports Rospotrebnadzor.
In Kabardino-Balkaria, 44% of kindergartens operate in overcrowded conditions, in North Ossetia - almost 28%, in Chechnya - more than 24%.
The regions of the North Caucasus are also among those with the worst quality of school education. These include primarily Ingushetia, Dagestan, and Chechnya.
When compiling the Rospotrebnadzor rating, 15 parameters were taken into account, including the learning outcomes of schoolchildren, educational equality, functional literacy, and the objectivity of assessment procedures.
