The Armenian-Azerbaijani topic became the central one at the meeting between Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and French President Emmanuel Macron in Paris.

The republics of the North Caucasus topped the list of regions with the lowest housing rental affordability. In Kabardino-Balkaria and Chechnya, only 16.2% of families with two children can afford to rent a typical two-room apartment. These are the data from a RIA Novosti study.
In Dagestan, only 19.1% of families can afford to rent a typical two-room apartment, in Ingushetia, 20.3%, and in North Ossetia, 24.7%. In Karachay-Cherkessia, the figure is 27.8%. The deplorable situation is due to the low incomes of residents of the North Caucasus Federal District.
The leaders in housing rental affordability are the northern regions with high incomes: Yamal (71.2%), Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug (69%), and Magadan Oblast (65%).
In 2024, rental affordability across the Russian Federation has decreased: only slightly more than 46% of families can rent housing, which is lower than last year's figure (more than 50%). The main reasons are rising rental rates and poverty.
