Six people were injured in another drone attack in Chechnya

On the night of May 9, an incident involving drones occurred in Chechnya, injuring at least six people. According to local media reports, the attack, presumably carried out by Ukrainian drones, resulted in damage to several facilities.

According to information published by the publication Chechnya Today, five drones caused damage to civilian infrastructure. Specifically, the Abrek supermarket located in the village of Shoipa-Mully, an apartment building in the Ippodromny microdistrict of Grozny, and a private home in the village of Proletarskoye were damaged. The injured civilians received medical assistance.

The Chechen opposition Telegram channel NIYSO clarified that one of the drones targeting the supermarket may have been intended for the base of the Baysangur Benoevsky National Guard battalion. Two other downed drones reportedly crashed in agricultural fields in the village of Dashi Akayev and in the village of Belgatoy.

Earlier, on the night of May 8, pro-government media reported other incidents involving drone attacks. Eyewitnesses claimed that the village of Khankala (home to a Russian military base) was attacked. A drone was recorded directly hitting the FSB building in the village of Znamenskoye, and debris also fell in central Grozny.
