The Kremlin referred to the competence of law enforcement agencies in the matter of the assassination attempt on Kadyrov

The Kremlin will not comment on information about the planning of an assassination attempt on the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov. The press secretary of the country's president, Dmitry Peskov, said that law enforcement agencies can take measures at the request of citizens.

"If there are any threats, then any citizen contacts law enforcement agencies, which, in accordance with the law, take the necessary measures. There can be no other comments here," Peskov said.

On October 9, Ramzan Kadyrov accused Senator Suleiman Kerimov, as well as State Duma deputies Bekkhan Barakhoev and Rizvan Kurbanov of ordering his murder. The head of Chechnya declared a blood feud against them if they did not prove their innocence. After that, Kurbanov and Barakhoev stated on video that they had nothing to do with the preparation of the assassination attempt. Suleiman Kerimov has not publicly spoken on this topic. At the same time, many officials from Dagestan, including the head of the region, Sergei Melikov, published posts in which they expressed support for Kerimov.
