Lawyer Timur Idalov, arrested, said the security forces fabricated the case

The Presnensky District Court of Moscow arrested Timur Idalov, a lawyer from Chechnya, until June 10. He was charged under art. 318, para. 1, of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation the day before (threat of violence against a representative of the authorities).
At the trial, Idalov said that the accusation against him was fabricated by the FSB with the help of the investigative authorities.

«What happened is true nonsense from the point of view of the law», said lawyer Murad Musayev. He clarified that the reason for the harassment of his colleague was participation in a number of high-profile cases in which the operational escort was carried out by influential people.
According to the S S SKR, threats to the state prosecutor with the phrase What are you, Commissioner Kattani? So he was shot» Idalov spoke at a meeting of the Nikulinsky district court in October 2022. Criminal proceedings against the lawyer were initiated following an appeal by the presiding judge.

Earlier Timur Idalov collaborated with the project «For Human Rights» and specialized in cases related to defendants in terrorism.
