Kirill Glazov, a former member of the People's Assembly of Dagestan who was stripped of his mandate on February 26, has been arrested on suspicion of large-scale fraud. Armenia and Turkey have reached an agreement on mutual visa facilitation for holders of diplomatic, service, and special passports. Beginning January 1, 2026, these categories will be able to obtain a free electronic visa (e-visa) for travel between the two countries.
This decision was the result of agreements between the special representatives of Yerevan and Ankara and is seen as a practical step in the process of normalizing bilateral relations. The parties confirmed their intention to continue dialogue without preconditions, with a view to achieving a full settlement.
It should be noted that the Armenian-Turkish border remains closed, and no timeline for its reopening to third-country citizens has yet been announced. Diplomatic relations between Armenia and Turkey have been suspended since 1991, and the normalization process resumed in 2021.
