Armenia refused to extradite to Russia accused of desertion

The authorities of Armenia released the Russian, previously detained at the request of the Russian Federation. At home, he is accused of desertion. The 23-year-old man was detained in Yerevan on April 7. It is unknown whether he is military or mobilized.

The Prosecutor General’s Office of Armenia clarified that the issue of extradition of a Russian citizen to Moscow is not being considered. The Ministry noted that the issue can be considered «when receiving an application for extradition and if there are sufficient grounds».
