Azerbaijan and Armenia to continue discussing peace treaty
Baku and Yerevan will return to discussing the text of the peace treaty in December. This was stated by the assistant to the President of Azerbaijan Hikmet Hajiyev. He noted that the meeting of the heads of Azerbaijan and Armenia on the sidelines of the BRICS summit in Kazan laid positive impetus for continuing the negotiations.

"At the moment, the main topic on Azerbaijan's agenda is the COP-29 climate summit until the end of November. Discussions and negotiations are continuing at the expert level. Because the Armenian side did not respond in time to our proposals regarding the text of the peace treaty. Most likely, starting in December, there will be a new process," Hajiyev said.

At the same time, Baku reported that Armenia's illegal actions in Karabakh - on the internationally recognized territory of Azerbaijan - will be examined in detail by the UN International Court of Justice.

"The International Court of Justice has ruled on Azerbaijan's ongoing international legal claims against Armenia for widespread human rights violations against Azerbaijanis... In addition, the court rightly rejected Armenia's attempt to exclude claims regarding the latter's practice of planting mines and booby traps," the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry noted.
