Another lawsuit filed by former Senator Rauf Arashukov of the Karachay-Cherkessia Republic, sentenced to life imprisonment in the Black Dolphin prison colony, was dismissed by a court in the Orenburg region. The convict sought 100,000 rubles for moral damages related to incomplete food distribution.
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev announced that construction of the Zangezur Corridor in the country is nearing completion. He expressed confidence that the August agreements reached in Washington with Armenia to connect the mainland of Azerbaijan with the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic will contribute to expanding international transit opportunities.
Aliyev noted that the new railway, with an initial throughput capacity of 15 million tons, will become an important element of the transport corridor.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced efforts to establish natural gas supplies from Azerbaijan. In a Facebook post, he noted that Ukraine is actively cooperating with its Polish partners to secure winter supplies and hopes to conclude long-term contracts with Azerbaijan.
