As part of its humanitarian assistance, Ukraine received a new shipment of energy equipment from Azerbaijan worth a total of $1 million. The handover was attended by Azerbaijani Ambassador to Ukraine Mardaliyev, Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Mishchenko, and the Deputy Ministers of Energy and Health.
The shipment included generators, transformers, panels, and cables, which, according to the Ukrainian side, will help restore the power grid and critical infrastructure, including medical facilities.
With this shipment, the total amount of aid provided by Azerbaijan to Ukraine has reached $45 million.
Russian authorities previously criticized Baku for providing humanitarian aid to Kyiv. Meanwhile, Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister Yalcin Rafiyev emphasized his country's support for Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity and noted that Baku has been providing assistance since the very first days of the conflict.
