Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced the first public performance of his musical group. The concert will take place on January 30 in Yerevan, where the group, called "Varchaband" (from the Armenian word "varcha," meaning "prime minister"), will take the stage.

Murtazali Murtazaliev, a 30-year-old resident of Dagestan, was killed in the war in Ukraine. He was convicted in 2025 for participating in an anti-Israeli pogrom at Makhachkala airport. According to his widow, he was released from prison to participate in military operations and died a month later.

In Elektrostal, near Moscow, the funeral of 18-year-old Ilya Polezhaev, who died in a street fight with 19-year-old Tajik citizen Imomali Turdiev, was held under heavy police and Russian National Guard surveillance. The Elektrostal City Court that same day remanded Turdiev to two months' pretrial detention on murder charges. He will be held until March 18th, and faces up to 15 years in prison.
