An Azerbaijani journalist called Ilham Aliyev's regime one of the most corrupt, on par with Russia

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev continues to lead a regime that, according to Azadlig newspaper editor-in-chief Ganimat Zayidov, maintains its position among the most corrupt countries.

Zayidov emphasizes that, with a corruption index of 78, Azerbaijan ranks 27th out of 50 in this anti-rating, sharing a position with countries such as Russia, Lebanon, and Honduras.

To illustrate the problem, the journalist published a photo of Aliyev with Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, noting that Venezuela is among the three most corrupt countries in the world.
