Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has warned that Russia’s restrictions on Armenian exports are calling into question the future of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), saying the dispute could mark “the beginning of the end” for the Moscow-led bloc if it is not resolved soon.
A drone may have attacked the Special Forces University in Chechnya
The Chechen opposition movement NIYSO (designated extremist and banned in Russia) reported a possible drone attack on the Russian Special Forces University named after Putin (RUS) in Gudermes on January 7.
On its Telegram channel, NIYSO stated that smoke was spotted above the university building, and that the RUS was presumably attacked by a drone, causing a fire.
The channel's authors claim to have photos and videos confirming the attack, but are not publishing them for security reasons.
In October 2024, the Special Forces University, where volunteers were trained for deployment to Ukraine, was previously attacked by drones. According to Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov, the result was the deaths of Ukrainian prisoners.
