In 2023, in the North Caucasus, the most bank deposits grew in Adygea (by 32%), in Chechnya (plus 30%), North Ossetia (28%), Dagestan (27%). This may be due to the payments to the participants of “Svo” and their families, including the “grave” and compensation for injuries. This conclusion was reached by Laura Solanko, a researcher of the Institute for the Study of Economics with the Economic Markets at the Central Bank of Finland (BOFIT).

The leader in this indicator of Tuva - there the amount of funds in bank deposits increased on average by 45% monthly. Among the leaders were also Buryatia and the Republic of Altai. All these regions, including the North Caucasus Federal District, belong to the poorest and subsidized.
