Chechnya became the leader in the North Caucasus Federal District in terms of migration loss of the population

In the first half of 2023, 1,174 more people left Chechnya than arrived. In terms of migration loss, the republic ranks first in the North Caucasus Federal District. It is reported by Rosstat.

Also, Dagestan (minus 508 people), Karachay-Cherkessia (minus 279 people) and North Ossetia (minus 944 people) showed a negative trend in migration.

Due to the departure of residents to other regions and countries, the population of the North Caucasus Federal District decreased by 1,536 people over six months.
