On the morning of October 22, Makhachkala was attacked by two Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). According to sources, one of the drones exploded over an industrial zone, causing shrapnel damage to vehicles. The second UAV struck a shopping center under construction.

According to Rosstat, tourist flow to Russia more than doubled from 2014 to 2024. The regions of the North Caucasus made a significant contribution to this growth.
Chechnya leads in tourist flow growth: it increased sevenfold over the same period, from 34,200 to 245,600. Ingushetia demonstrated a fivefold increase (from 8,600 to 44,700), and Dagestan a fourfold increase (from 124,800 to 513,200). These figures place Chechnya, Ingushetia, and Dagestan first, third, and fifth in the ranking of Russian regions by tourist flow growth over the past decade.
The following regions turned out to be the leaders in terms of tourist flow growth rates over 10 years: Moscow – an increase of 7.1 million tourists (twofold), Krasnodar Krai – by 6.2 million (two and a half times), St. Petersburg – by 3.5 million (twofold), Moscow Region – by 3.3 million (twofold).
