Today Georgia celebrates Europe Day
On May 9, Georgia celebrates Europe Day. The concert at the Orbeliani Palace in Tbilisi will be held on the initiative of the country's President Salome Zurabishvili.
During the event, Sukhishvili, Loudspeakers, Shavnabada, Davdagani, Quemmekh, Liza Batiashvili, Giorgi Gigashvili, Nini Nutsubidze, Kato Kvaratskhelia, Nikala Zubiashvili, Mariam Kubanski, Data Munjishvili, Elene Kalandadze and Erekle Getsadze will perform.
Europe Day in Georgia was celebrated annually on May 9; the country's government allocated 600 thousand lari for the celebration from May 9 to 11. The date is associated with the 1950s and the French politician Robert Schuman, who proposed industrial and economic cooperation to European countries.
