Turkey has abolished the "foreigner" status for citizens of Turkic states, signing a decree simplifying their employment. Now, residents of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan will be able to work and do business in Turkey without citizenship or special permits (except for military and security service).
United Russia MP from Dagestan detained in illegal migration case

Derbent City Assembly deputy Rovshan Omarov has been detained in Dagestan. A criminal case has been opened against him in connection with the use of four migrant workers from Uzbekistan and China in his greenhouse farm without proper registration.
According to investigators, Omarov, as well as the unnamed director and beneficiary of the greenhouse farm, which is located in the Derbent district, provided shelter, food and work to four foreigners in 2024. The migrants were in Russia illegally, the Investigative Committee Directorate for the republic clarified.
