The head of the Russian Foreign Ministry called the actions of the United States and the EU to “severe” Armenia from Russia “arrogant and shameless”

They want to tear Armenia away from the Russian Federation at an accelerated pace, but it receives the most benefits from the EAEU, 35% of its economy is tied to this. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stated this in an interview with Sputnik radio. According to him, the European Union and the United States are “shamelessly” separating Armenia from the Russian Federation.

“Let those in Yerevan who are now being enslaved by the West have an epiphany sooner. “All those who want to take Armenia somewhere should be reminded of the recent statements by the chief diplomat of the European Union, Borrell, when he forced the inhabitants of Europe to continue the war in Ukraine,” Lavrov said.

To say that the Armenians left Karabakh because of the alleged inaction of Russian peacekeepers, according to the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry, is wrong. When they say that the CSTO cannot define its zone of responsibility in Armenia, it is worth noting that Armenia itself has not defined it, Lavrov emphasized.

Earlier, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan complained about the inaction of Russian peacekeepers in Karabakh. He also noted that his country has no other choice but to move towards Europe. In addition, the politician has repeatedly criticized the military-political bloc CSTO, which is under Russian influence, and announced the suspension of Armenia’s participation in it.

Secretary of the country's Security Council Armen Grigoryan reported that in 2020, 96% of Yerevan's military-technical cooperation was with the Russian Federation, and since 2021, Russia's share has collapsed to 10%.
