The head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov also spoke on the occasion of the beginning of Ramadan.
“This month is a great mercy of Allah, granted to us for the purification of the soul and the increase of good deeds,” he said.
The head of Kabardino-Balkaria Kazbek Kokov, in turn, recalled that "for centuries this sacred month for the followers of Islam has embodied renewal, the desire for moral improvement, purity of thoughts and actions." According to the head of Ingushetia Makhmud-Ali Kalimatov, Muslims "should direct every day of this month to strengthening their fear of God and love for people. This will open up new paths for mercy, good neighborliness and mutual assistance." The head of Karachay-Cherkessia Rashid Temrezov addressed the followers of Islam with best wishes: "Let every day of fasting strengthen faith, give inspiration, fill us with goodness and light. I wish everyone good health, well-being and happiness."
