Georgia deports 25 foreigners who took part in protests against the government
The Georgian authorities have started procedures for the expulsion of foreign citizens who took part in mass pro-European protests in Tbilisi. This is reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the country.

A total of 91 foreigners were ordered to leave the country from November to December 2024. More than a quarter of them are participants in rallies against the Georgian government's decision to suspend the process of its European integration.

Decisions on their expulsion were made on the basis of administrative offenses committed by them.

"Among the persons in respect of whom the migration department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs has initiated deportation procedures, there are foreign citizens who participated in the actions held in Tbilisi in November-December, and to whom the court imposed various administrative penalties - a total of 25 people," the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported.

The agency does not specify which countries the mentioned 25 persons are. However, it is known that 10 of them have already left Georgia. It is also reported that in December, foreigners who appeared at the actions began to be summoned to the Department of Migration.
