Another Georgian fighter, Zurab Iashvili, died in Ukraine. He died in the Lvov military hospital as a result of his injury. Since the beginning of the “SVO”, more than 60 Georgian soldiers have died.
Recently, the Georgian National Legion was added to the list of terrorist organizations in the Russian Federation. This decision was made by the Southern District Military Court of the Russian Federation.
“The formation was created in 2014 under the patronage of Ukrainian military intelligence. Members of the legion participate in hostilities on the side of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and are involved in organizing terrorist attacks in Russia,” the FSB said.
Earlier, the Georgian Legion welcomed Georgia's receipt of candidate status for EU membership. This was stated by the unit commander Mamuka Mamulashvili.
