With the parliamentary elections in Armenia scheduled for June 7 approaching, opposition forces are deciding whether to participate. Two parties – Strong Armenia and Wings of Unity – have officially submitted their applications to the Central Election Commission.
Bacho (Elguja) Bebia, a 32-year-old Georgian volunteer fighting in the Ukrainian Armed Forces, died in Mykolaiv. His family said that after the outbreak of the "SVO," he, himself a displaced person from Sukhumi, voluntarily went to the front, declaring his determination to defend his home at any cost.
Bacho Bebia, a Ukrainian citizen living in Odesa, most recently served as a drone operator and was awarded Ukrainian state awards, including the Cross of Bravery. He was killed on April 20 in a strike on the building where he and his fellow soldiers were stationed.
Bebia joined hundreds of his compatriots who have been fighting on the Ukrainian side since the beginning of the war. Losses among Georgian volunteers are estimated at more than 80 fighters.
