The Georgian Legion welcomed Georgia's receipt of EU candidate status

In the Georgian Legion, all the guys are obsessed with the idea of European integration of their country. It is still moving towards a pro-European context. This is how the commander of the unit fighting in Ukraine, Mamuka Mamulashvili, commented on the granting of EU candidate status to Georgia.

“This means that the sacrifice of someone’s life, the idea of unity and independence of Georgia and Ukraine are not in vain. The fighters made the greatest contribution to the continuation of this path of at least one country or another,” SOVA quoted Mamulashvili as saying.

Let us remind you that the day before Georgia received candidate status for the European Union. Also at the last summit, it was decided to begin negotiations on the issue of accession to the EU for Ukraine and Moldova.
