Ingush deputies asked Putin to defer military service for technical university graduates

Deputies of the People's Assembly of Ingushetia have appealed to Russian President Vladimir Putin to defer military service for graduates who have completed higher or secondary technical education and found employment within a month of graduation. The deferment is expected to be for up to two years, but no later than until they reach the age of 30.

According to the initiative's authors, this measure will encourage graduates to find employment in defense industry enterprises and help them adapt to projects important to the state. It is also proposed to allow alternative civilian service in defense industry organizations, provided that the citizen is not directly involved in weapons production.
