Kadyrov Threatens Ukraine with Retaliation for Attack on Grozny-City

Chechnya's leader, Ramzan Kadyrov, published a video statement following the Ukrainian drone attack on Grozny-City. He said the strike on high-rise buildings in central Grozny makes no tactical sense or sense.

"That's the nature of Ukrainian fascists—attacking the weak and defenseless. But by doing so, the Ukronazis have further alienated the civilian population. No strikes or explosions can intimidate the Chechen people. The rabid fascists didn't take this into account. We will repair the building. The most important thing is there are no casualties. Starting tomorrow and for the next week, the Ukronazis will feel our harsh response. But we, unlike them, will not launch cowardly strikes against civilian targets. Our attacks will be directed at the military terrorist targets of the Ukronazis," the video's accompanying text reads.

Furthermore, on his Telegram channel, he called on the Ukrainian army to meet Russian fighters "face to face" and "prove themselves on the battlefield."

"I also appeal to the Ukronazis and their henchmen: if you truly want to fight, find a place where you can meet us face to face. Do this if you consider yourselves warriors and men. Russian fighters are advancing on you every day and putting pressure on you in all the hottest areas of the front. Prove yourself on the battlefield," Kadyrov wrote.

On December 5, drones attacked the Grozny City business center, which houses the Chechen Security Council, the Accounts Chamber, and the Electoral Commission. The strike caused a fire, and the blast wave completely destroyed the facade of several floors.
