Ismail Hasanov was sentenced by a court in the Azerbaijani city of Ganja to 3.5 years in prison for participating in military operations in Ukraine as part of the Russian private military company Wagner. He was charged under Article 279.1 of the Criminal Code (regarding participation in the activities of armed groups outside the country), the publication Oxu reported.
On January 16, live on the ya_pomoshnik_kra_95 platform on Instagram (this social network is recognized as extremist in Russia and is blocked), the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, answering questions from the head of the regional Ministry of Nationalities Akhmed Dudayev, spoke about the progress of the special military operation in Ukraine and called on the male population of the Caucasus and Russia to prepare for continuation of mobilization.
“Today, if there is a need, then people need to be mobilized. It is absolutely necessary, and people must understand and prepare,” he said. “If they live and lived, if the state supplied them, then they are responsible for the security of their state, their people.”
Kadyrov gave a brief summary of the broadcast in his Telegram channel: “He also touched on the issue of mobilization. He emphasized that every self-respecting man should be ready at any moment to defend his faith, family, people and Fatherland. Cowardice and cowardice in such an important matter are fraught with very bad consequences.”
In addition, the head of Chechnya “shared with the audience the successes of the Russian armed forces, which continue to systematically clear the Donbass of NATO and Bandera formations.”
“All the tasks that the Supreme Commander-in-Chief sets for us are being successfully completed. If there is a command, we have the opportunity to liberate even the whole of Ukraine,” Kadyrov said. -- Chechen special forces operate especially harmoniously and effectively. Thanks to their competent and coordinated actions, we successfully repel enemy attacks and defend many strategic directions. “At the same time, during the entire period of the SVO, not a single Chechen commander was captured.”
Referring to the advantage given to Ukraine by the supply of tanks and other heavy weapons by NATO countries, Kadyrov noted that “the West and Europe are stuffing Ukraine with old, decommissioned equipment that does not pose a significant threat to our military personnel. Russia is a great nuclear power that can calmly resist the NATO bloc and even the whole world.”
Let us recall: in October, Kadyrov published in his telegram channel data on the losses of a unit from Chechnya near Kherson, where 23 people were killed and 58 were wounded.
Kadyrov called on his fellow countrymen to study military affairs: “We must all be fully prepared for any development of the situation... Learn at least military affairs... In Gudermes we have the most modern base with free military training courses. There is nothing stopping those who want to come there and master military skills.”
In December, the head of Chechnya said that the republic had exceeded the mobilization plan, reaching 254%. “We have a lot of applicants, not only from our republic, every day we accept from different regions of different nationalities, different religions. We train them, dress them, and do everything to make sure they are ready.” According to him, residents of the republic are “standing in line” to go to the Northern Military District zone. Meanwhile, hundreds of young Chechens are fleeing the republic to escape mobilization. Human rights organizations reported complaints from residents of Chechnya about the forced mobilization of relatives.
