Karachay-Cherkessia is among the leading Russian ski resorts

Karachay-Cherkessia is among the top three regions for ski tour bookings in Russia. Based on the results of the 2025-2026 winter season, the region ranked third, behind only Krasnodar Krai (30%) and the Moscow region (17%).

Karachay-Cherkessia accounted for 10% of all bookings, representing a 6% increase compared to the previous year.

The average nightly rate for hotels and apartments near the ski resorts of Karachay-Cherkessia was 13,400 rubles. This data was provided by Yandex.Travel and Alice AI.

Kabardino-Balkaria also made the top 10, taking sixth place with 3% of bookings and a 17% increase, with an average price of 9,600 rubles per night.

In 2025, Karachay-Cherkessia saw record growth in tourist arrivals, up 86% to 1.3 million. Accommodation rates also improved significantly: the number of tourists staying in hotels increased 2.4-fold to 314,300.
