The brother of the murdered chief of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ingushetia requested compensation of 300 million rubles

The court has filed a claim for compensation for moral suffering in the amount of 300 million rubles from Ismail Eljarkiev. The demands were directed to the accused of killing his brothers, one of whom was Ibrahim Eljarkiev, head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs' Centre for Combating Extremism. Ismail Eljarkiev is recognized as a civil plaintiff. 

Recently, the Southern District Military Court in Rostov-on-Don began the trial of the murder of Ibrahim Eljarkiev and his brother Abdullahmed. The accused pleaded not guilty. According to the investigation, 11 people were involved in the crime, 8 of them are in custody. Three are in hiding, including the alleged killer. The investigation considered the crime a terrorist act: the leader of the community, according to their version, is businessman Hasan Polonkov.

Ibrahim Eljarkiev was shot and killed on 2 November 2019 in Moscow. His brother Abdulahmed, who was a doctor in a hospital in the capital, died with him.

The Georgian Parliament has expeditiously passed a bill in its third and final reading requiring organizers of protests in "places where people gather or where vehicles are moving" (including on sidewalks) to notify the police. The responsible person must contact the Patrol Service Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (located at the location of the demonstration) in writing no later than five days before the rally.
