A Crimean Tatar political prisoner was diagnosed with disability
Crimean Tatar Rustem Seitmemetov, who had no heart problems before his arrest, was assigned the third group of disabilities. First, he suffered a myocardial infarction, after which he underwent an operation - heart bypass surgery. His wife told him about it.

In addition, Rustem Seitmemetov is worried about hypertension and eye cataracts - these diagnoses were also absent before his arrest. Many of the drugs prescribed to him are not included in the list of those permitted in the colony's medical centers.

In 2021, Seitmemetov was sentenced to 13 years. He was found guilty of participating in the Hizb ut-Tahrir political party, which is banned in Russia. The lawyers noted that the case materials contained only audio recordings with other Crimean Tatars discussing politics and religion in the mosques of the city of Bakhchisaray.
