The fewest accidents with casualties among the regions of the Russian Federation were recorded in Chechnya

In the first half of 2024, 11.1 accidents with casualties occurred in Chechnya per 100 thousand vehicles, as follows from the RIA Novosti rating. This is the lowest figure in the Russian Federation. In second and third place are Yamal (42.5) and Chukotka (46.7).

Ingushetia is in 10th place in the rating (65.6 car accidents), Dagestan is in 30th (89.3), Kabardino-Balkaria is in 36th (95.1), Stavropol Krai is in 62nd (118.1), Karachay-Cherkessia is in 66th (122.8), and North Ossetia is in 73rd (131.5).

The highest accident rate in the country was recorded in Omsk Region (188.8), Kalmykia (219.4) and Tyva (265.1).

In the Russian Federation as a whole, there are 95.2 accidents with casualties per 100 thousand vehicles.

Authorities in Dagestan have banned the online publication of photographs and information about certain objects and events, citing security concerns. The ban includes images of bridges, air defense systems, the aftermath of drone attacks, as well as information about the type, launch location, crash site, and flight path of drones. The corresponding decree was signed by the head of the republic, Sergey Melikov.

Turkey has abolished the "foreigner" status for citizens of Turkic states, signing a decree simplifying their employment. Now, residents of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan will be able to work and do business in Turkey without citizenship or special permits (except for military and security service).
