Mayor of Izberbash in Dagestan detained on suspicion of accepting a bribe
Magomed Isakov, the mayor of Izberbash, has been detained in Dagestan. A criminal case has been opened against him under Part 6 of Article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (accepting a bribe on an especially large scale).
According to investigators, in 2019, Isakov received a bribe of 3.9 million rubles from a developer for failure to take actions related to the cancellation of a permit for the construction of a house in Izberbash. Law enforcement officers conducted searches in the city administration and in Isakov's house.
