The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry called the Georgian Dream advertising campaign unacceptable
Billboards comparing Ukrainian and Georgian cities have appeared in Tbilisi. The banners consist of two parts: photos of buildings destroyed by bombing in Ukraine with the inscription "No to war" and photos of Georgian infrastructure with the caption "Choose peace". This election campaign was launched by the country's ruling party, Georgian Dream.

The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry called such advertising unacceptable and called on the Georgian authorities to refrain from using "the theme of an aggressive war against Ukraine and its citizens in the domestic political struggle in Georgia."

"The Georgian people do not have to fear a new war as long as Ukraine resists Russian aggression. The terrible price of this resistance is also the price of peace in Georgia. Ukraine will consistently, unwaveringly and decisively continue to support the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia within its internationally recognized borders," the statement says.

The new banners were also criticized by residents of Georgia and the country's President Salome Zurabishvili. She called them "shameful and offensive to culture, traditions, history and faith."

"What a pathetic thing to show the people a poster made in the KGB forge," Zurabishvili was indignant.
