A meeting of the National Anti-Terrorism Committee was held in Moscow, dedicated to countering the spread of terrorist ideology, neo-Nazism, and religious extremism in the North Caucasus Federal District.

The UN mission, which arrived in Karabakh on October 1, completed its visit. The report emphasizes that there have been no incidents of violence against civilians since the September 20 ceasefire. There are very few local residents left in the region, “from 50 to 1,000 ethnic Armenians.” There was no damage to civilian infrastructure, including hospitals, schools and housing, as well as cultural and religious buildings in Stepanakert (Khankendi). The UN in Azerbaijan plans to continue regular visits to the region.
According to the Armenian authorities, the number of internally displaced persons from the unrecognized Nagorno-Karabakh amounted to over 100 thousand. At the beginning of the year, the Armenian population of the region was estimated at 120 thousand people.
