The North Caucasus has the least alcohol consumption

According to the results of 2022, the least alcohol consumption was found in the regions of the Northern Federal District. In Chechnya, 0.1 liters of strong alcohol were sold per capita, in Ingushetia, 0.5 liters, in Kabardino-Balkaria, 1 liter in North Ossetia, 1.1 liter in Dagestan, 1.5 liter in Karachay-Cherkessia.
Also in these republics the least drink wine and beer. Again in the leaders of Chechnya and Ingushetia. The largest retail sales of liquor were recorded in Karelia (15.5 liters per capita), the Sakhalin region (14.9 liters), Komi (14.6 liters), the Magadan region (14.1 liters) and the Kamchatka region (12.4 liters).
It is noteworthy that the SFD regions showed a high growth in wine and vodka production last year. Dagestan distinguished itself most with an increase of 87%.
