The Armenian newspaper Hraparak reported that Russia is developing new sanctions against Armenia in response to Yerevan's "anti-Russian actions." These actions include Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's possible visit to the Yerevan summit on May 4-5.

In 2022, despite a formal increase in inflation-adjusted wages, the purchasing power of the residents of the CSRF was lower than in 2021. Real wages fell by 12%, Dagestan by 5%, Kabardino-Balkaria and Karachaevo-Cherkessia by 4%, Rosstat reported.
The highest inflation in Chechnya in 2022 was in March and April - 16% and 17% compared to the same period last year. By December, it had fallen to 13%. Overall, prices in Ingushetia rose by 17%, Chechnya, Karachaevo-Cherkessia and Kabardino-Balkaria - by 11%.
