Inflation has risen in the North Caucasus.

In 2022, despite a formal increase in inflation-adjusted wages, the purchasing power of the residents of the CSRF was lower than in 2021. Real wages fell by 12%, Dagestan by 5%, Kabardino-Balkaria and Karachaevo-Cherkessia by 4%, Rosstat reported.
The highest inflation in Chechnya in 2022 was in March and April - 16% and 17% compared to the same period last year. By December, it had fallen to 13%.  Overall, prices in Ingushetia rose by 17%, Chechnya, Karachaevo-Cherkessia and Kabardino-Balkaria - by 11%.

A court in Kabardino-Balkaria sentenced Timur Yandiev, sentencing him to five years in prison for evading military service during mobilization. Yandiev was absent from his unit for more than four months, beginning on April 25, 2025, and was arrested on September 6 in Mozdok.
