In the Moscow region and Stavropol Territory, FSB officers conducted searches and detained heads of the Ministry of Economic Development. 3 million dollars, 1 million euros and six premium cars were seized from the house of the director of the Department of the Ministry of Economic Development for the North Caucasus, Igor Khranovsky.

Khranovsky and other officials may be involved in the seizure of a mineral water production company in the Stavropol Territory. In addition, facts of theft of natural gas on an especially large scale were established.

The Department for the North Caucasian Federal District deals with issues of strategic, investment and territorial development of the district, including attracting investments, trade and economic issues and tourism.
