The most popular names of newborns in the North Caucasus have been named

Among the names given to newborns in the regions of the North Caucasian Federal District in 2023, the most popular was Muhammad. 6511 boys were named this way.

The favorite names also included Abdullah, Khalid, Saad, Ahmed, Islam, Umar, Yusuf, Ali, Adam, Imran, David, Georgiy, Alan, Sarmat, Azamat, Artem, Alexander, Mikhail, Ivan, Matvey, Saifullah and Khairullah.

As for female names, over the past year, 1,748 Safiy and 627 Sophia, 1,814 Maryam and 480 Mari, 1,415 Amin and 1,161 Aliya were born in the regions of the North Caucasus. Khadija, Aisha, Fatima, Asiya, Medina, Anna, Alana, Eva, Milana, Hanifa and Aisha also became popular female names.
