The Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) announced the thwarting of two bombings near a security agency building in Pyatigorsk. Law enforcement officials claim the two women acted on "instructions from Ukrainian intelligence services, not realizing they would be used as suicide bombers."

According to a RIA Novosti study, Ingushetia ranked 85th, the last, in the list of Russian regions based on income levels for 2025. Other regions of the North Caucasus Federal District also ranked low: Karachay-Cherkessia ranked 83rd, Chechnya 77th, and North Ossetia 71st. The situation is better in Kabardino-Balkaria (66th) and Dagestan (57th).

The body of eight-year-old Khizir Derbichev, who disappeared in the Sunzha River eight days ago and was found today, was laid to rest in Ingushetia. According to Islamic tradition, the deceased must be buried before sunset that same day.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova stated that the Armenian authorities' public statements about their desire to maintain and strengthen relations with Russia are not supported by the country's leadership's actions, which, she said, are aimed at rapprochement with the European Union.
