Head of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People Renat Chubarov called on the Crimean people to prepare shelters. According to him, this year the army of Ukraine may launch an offensive to liberate the peninsula. 
The Council of Crimeans, who remain loyal to Ukraine, is: if they live in the village, they should prepare their basements and other places for shelter, if in the city - the authorities should tell them the location of the nearest shelter. I’m not saying you’re gonna need it, but maybe. All processes say that the liberation of Crimea from occupation is one of the priority tasks of the Ukrainian army», - said Refat Chubarov.
Earlier, he noted that the Majlis expects the return of Crimea to Ukraine this year. Crimean Tatar units are part of the Ukrainian army.
