A paratrooper from Dagestan, convicted of «discrediting the army», will appeal.

Former serviceman, native of Dagestan Ashabali Alibekov (known in YouTube as «Wild Paratrooper») appeals against the verdict. Recently, the Primorsky District Court of Novorossiysk sentenced him to one year and two months of the colony in a case about «discrediting» of the Russian army.

According to lawyer Marina Dubrovina, Alibekov wanted to save his son from death in the war with Ukraine. The man advocated peace after the beginning of the Russian offensive on Ukraine. In 2018, he served in the Black Sea Fleet and called for a boycott of the presidential election of the Russian Federation. The human rights project "Support for political prisoners. Memorial" recognized Askhabal Alibekov as a political prisoner.
