The search for 8-year-old Khizir Derbichev, swept away by a powerful river current in Ingushetia, has been ongoing for eight days now. Since early morning, a new shift of volunteers entered the cold waters of the Sunzha River and continued combing the area in hopes of finding the little hero who dared to risk his life to save his friend.
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan invited French President Emmanuel Macron to visit Yerevan in September. This is stated in the congratulatory message of the Armenian leader on the occasion of the 235th anniversary of the storming of the Bastille.
Pashinyan spoke about the French President's continued efforts to help the Armenian people and ensure long-term peace in the region. He believes that there is a close political dialogue and dynamically developing strategic cooperation in all areas between the countries.
Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia Mher Grigoryan noted at a gala event at the French Embassy on the occasion of Bastille Day that Yerevan considers the establishment of peace in the South Caucasus a priority.
“In this matter, Armenia feels the consistent assistance of France. Paris supports the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Armenia,” Grigoryan emphasized.
