At a panel discussion in Davos, Ilham Aliyev stated that the establishment of peaceful relations between Baku and Yerevan is possible in the near future, provided there is a mutual desire for peace. He emphasized that the agreements already reached are yielding concrete results, including cooperation in the transportation of strategic cargo.
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan invited French President Emmanuel Macron to visit Yerevan in September. This is stated in the congratulatory message of the Armenian leader on the occasion of the 235th anniversary of the storming of the Bastille.
Pashinyan spoke about the French President's continued efforts to help the Armenian people and ensure long-term peace in the region. He believes that there is a close political dialogue and dynamically developing strategic cooperation in all areas between the countries.
Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia Mher Grigoryan noted at a gala event at the French Embassy on the occasion of Bastille Day that Yerevan considers the establishment of peace in the South Caucasus a priority.
“In this matter, Armenia feels the consistent assistance of France. Paris supports the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Armenia,” Grigoryan emphasized.
