Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostanyan emphasized the importance of cooperation with the European Union, calling it not only economic cooperation but also a reflection of the Armenian people's European aspirations. At the Antalya Diplomatic Forum in Turkey, he stated that the country is working toward gradual or sectoral integration with the EU.
Pashinyan named national leader of Armenia
During Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's visit to Kazakhstan, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev called him the "national leader of Armenia," emphasizing the importance and reliability of the partnership between the two countries.
Tokayev noted Kazakhstan's deep sympathy for Armenia and its respect for its history, culture, and traditions. Following the talks, 15 documents were signed, including a Roadmap for Trade and Economic Cooperation for 2026-2030 and an Action Plan between the Foreign Ministries for 2026-2027, as well as a number of other agreements in various areas.
Tokayev awarded Pashinyan the country's highest state award, the Altyn Qyran (Golden Eagle) Order.
