A scuffle broke out in the National Assembly of Armenia following a verbal altercation between lawmakers from the ruling "Civil Contract" faction and the opposition "Strong Armenia" faction.
The conflict began during a speech by MP Taron Chakhoyan, who was interrupted from the floor by Narek Karapetyan. Chakhoyan told his colleague to wait for his turn to speak from the podium.
"Don't speak from your seat! When you get your chance, you can speak from this podium," he said to Karapetyan.
Following a retort, Chakhoyan shouted at his opponent: "You’re the one who’s a little boy!"
At that point, the MPs rose from their seats and headed toward the podium, where a scuffle ensued. Parliamentary Speaker Ruben Rubinyan initially refused to call for a break, but eventually decided to suspend the session.
