Kadyrov's nephew became head of the Chechen Security Council

27-year-old Khamzat Kadyrov, the nephew of Ramzan Kadyrov, became the new head of the Chechen Security Council. Previously, he held the position of advisor-assistant to the head of Chechnya.

Last year, Khamzat Kadyrov was awarded the medal of the Order of Merit for the Fatherland, II degree, and was also awarded the title of Hero of Chechnya. Before that, he held the position of Minister of Property and Land Relations of the region and headed the Ministry of Sports of Chechnya.

Khamzat’s predecessor as head of the Security Council, Ramzan Kadyrov’s cousin Turpal-Ali Ibragimov, was appointed head of the Shali region.
