Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced the first public performance of his musical group. The concert will take place on January 30 in Yerevan, where the group, called "Varchaband" (from the Armenian word "varcha," meaning "prime minister"), will take the stage.
Pashinyan previously announced the event, inviting residents to the dance floor with the words:
"I invite you to the dance floor. We play, you dance."
The Prime Minister announced the date and the name of the group on his social media accounts on Saturday. According to Armenian media, Pashinyan and his wife, Anna Hakobyan, began studying music last year: the Prime Minister is learning percussion instruments, and his wife is learning guitar.
At the end of December, Pashinyan shared a video of himself playing the drums to a song based on his own poems about Armenia. Now the head of government's musical passion is taking to the public stage – in the form of a full-fledged concert.
