The political party led by former Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia has decided to retake parliamentary seats. This was announced at a briefing by one of its leaders, Giorgi Sharashidze, and later by the party's leader.

Responsibility for what is happening today or will happen tomorrow in Georgia lies with the government. The second initiation of the bill “on foreign agents” was a provocation. This was stated by the country's President Salome Zurabishvili during a meeting with ambassadors of EU member states.
“This was a provocation against people who were happy to see the doors of the European Union open. This was violence against people who have always believed that the EU is the best defender of our long-term security, as well as a means of defense against any further imperialist attempts by Russia,” Zurabishvili emphasized.
Also in an interview with Deutsche Welle, Salome Zurabishvili stated that the government and the ruling party of Georgia are trying to portray its partners as agents of the revolution, believing that they are seeking to overthrow them. “But they are silent about Russia, as if it is our new friend. So the “Russian” law is not the only problem, the problem is in the “Russian” government, which is leading this country to Russia,” summed up the Georgian president.
Thousands of residents of Tbilisi and other cities of Georgia have been protesting against the law on foreign agents for a month now. The protesters recently declared disobedience to the authorities until the bill was withdrawn. They put forward a number of demands, which include the release of all detainees and the punishment of security forces who used violence against protesters (rubber bullets, tear gas, beatings).
