Relatives of Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov canceled a wedding celebration in Georgia due to public protests. This is the victory of the people of Georgia, as President of the Republic Salome Zurabishvili stated.

It was planned to hold the celebration at a hotel near Lake Kvareli, where Lavrov's daughter Ekaterina and his son-in-law, an Israeli citizen, businessman Alexander Vinokurov, arrived. The marriage was concluded in Tbilisi.

Protests also continue in the city against Georgia's direct flights to Russia. Salome Zurabishvili announced a boycott of Georgian Airways. The President of Georgia announced the refusal of the airline due to the start of flights to Russia. She resumed flights to the Russian Federation after a four-year break.
